Levels of Status

National Transregional Accrediting Council (NTAAC) focuses on the following three levels:

 

  1. Freshman Status – A Freshman institution is in the process of developing its facility, curriculum, staff; policies, etc. Their institutional/educational program has been operating for less than twelve months. An annual report is required. Proof of recognition from the Department of Education is required
  2. Sophomore Status – An institution with a sophomore status has applied for accreditation to the Board of Directors of NTAAC, and is in the process of completing its self-study. They have been in existence for at least twelve months. An annual report from the Department of Education is required.
  3. Junior Status – An institution with a junior status has satisfactorily met all previous NTAAC status of accreditation standards and has been awarded its accreditation certificate for up to two years. An annual report from the department of education is required.
  4. Senior Status – An institution with senior status has satisfactorily met all previous three levels of NTAAC accreditation standards and has been awarded their accreditation certificate for up to three years and it is being granted the fourth year. An annual report from the department of education is required.
  5. Graduate Status – An institution with a graduate status is one that has satisfactorily accredited for 4-5 years and has met all NTAAC standards and is awarded a five years certificate of accreditation. An annual report from the department of education is required.
  6.  Executive Status-An institution with an executive status that has satisfactorily accredited for up to 10 years and has met all NTAAC standards is awarded all the previous levels and applies the 10 years certificate of accreditation. An annual report from the department of education is required.
